Andres started his career at the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority (Finantsinspektsioon), where he spent four years in the off-site supervision team for credit institutions and payment service providers. He moved to the Bank of Lithuania in 2014 to help build out their fintech-specialist regulatory desk during the early years of the country’s e-money licence boom — a tenure that gave him direct line-of-sight into how regulators evaluate novel business models.
He left the regulator in 2018 to advise crypto-asset firms full-time, and founded Crypto License Pro in 2021 specifically to handle the wave of MiCA-driven authorisation work he saw coming. He is admitted to the Estonian Bar and writes regularly for industry publications on prudential capital and conflict-of-interest rules under MiCA.
